Scream 7

The directorial team Radio Silence, renowned for their work on V/H/S, Southbound, Ready or Not, Scream, and Scream VI, will unfortunately not be back to helm the anticipated Scream 7 due to conflicts in scheduling. It was previously rumored that Christopher Landon, known for Happy Death Day and Freaky, was considering directing the upcoming installment. Now, this has been officially confirmed.

This afternoon, The Hollywood Reporter brought the confirmation that Christopher Landon, a prominent figure in the horror genre with works such as the Happy Death Day series and the horror-comedy Freaky under his belt, has been chosen by Spyglass to direct Scream 7. This information has been confirmed by multiple sources according to THR.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the directors of Scream and Scream VI, under the moniker Radio Silence, are set to stay involved in the project as executive producers, along with Chad Villella.

The person responsible for penning Scream 7 has not yet been disclosed. However, THR suggests that Melissa Barrera and Mason Gooding are likely to reprise their roles. Jenna Ortega’s participation remains uncertain and only time will determine her involvement.
